About Iqbal Ali

Iqbal B. Ali is an organizational effectiveness professional that brings over 30 years of diverse experience to the Executive Advisor role at McLean & Company, where he supports and guides Human Resource leaders to craft their HR strategies and initiatives and, in turn, achieve lasting impacts on their careers and organizations.

Iqbal has been a member of three executive leadership teams. He has served as an HR leader in non-profits, social services, and privately held organizations in manufacturing, healthcare, and law enforcement. His experience has had a strong focus on employee engagement, labor relations, coaching, and leadership development, as well as broader human resources management. He has worked closely with several executive teams to guide culture and strategic goals.

Iqbal has a Bachelor of Arts in Finance & Economics from the University of Western Ontario and began his career in accounting. He then attained his MBA degree from the University of Calgary, and is a Certified Professional in Human Resources (CPHR). He is enthusiastic about community service, having served on a Board, committees, and action groups. Iqbal also tended as a sessional instructor at Columbia College and Bow Valley College for over fifteen years, where he facilitated courses on HR Management, Labor Relations, Leadership, and Professional Ethics.
